Bio:
Yoni Ben-Yehuda, also known as Sneakas, was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1981. After moving to Manhattan at age 11, Sneakas quickly became involved and fascinated by hip hop culture. Using his extensive musical background, which includes training in both bass guitar and drums, Sneakas started writing rhymes and producing his own music.

After years of honing his skills in the underground circuit of New York City, Sneakas was signed in 2001 to the production company Nu Media. Their production credits include the Notorious B.I.G., Craig Mack, LL Cool J, Brian McKnight, Babyface, TLC, The Fugees, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Toni Braxton, Christina Aguilera, Faith Hill, Kirk Franklin, Bob Dylan, and Prince.

In the summer of 2003, Sneakas began a one-year tour in the Middle East performing in hundreds of clubs, festivals, fundraisers and venues. Since Sneakas return to New York in 2004 he continued to carve a niche for himself in the New York City hip hop scene with performances at B.B Kings, Nuyorican Poets Caf, Pussycat Lounge, Bowery Poetry Club, M1-5, The Groove, and The Bitter End. In April 2008 his debut album In It for The Change, with features by Kool G. Rap, Rass Kas, Wordsworth, and many others was released by Tactiturn (Sony/Red) records to rave reviews.

One year earlier, in 2007 Sneakas started working with Iranian Muslim rapper Mazzi (of S.O.U.L Purpose) and together they began a long and fruitful musical relationship that explored the boundaries of rap and politics. In late 2008 M.C. Serch (of famed rap group 3rd Bass and host of the hit TV show VH1s White Rapper Show) became closely involved with the group, and took the forefront in spreading their unique sound and timely message to the masses. When asked why this project was so important, M.C. Serch said, "when my partner Waleed and I started the Peace in the Middle East project, it was for artists like Mazzi and Sneakas." The duos pinnacle was reached in early 2010 when Mazzi & Sneakas released several viral videos to rave reviews, and designed and performed in the Tug of War Tour, which showcased the group, Palestian spoken word poet Tahani Salah, and Jewish-American spoken word poet Vanessa Hidary (the Hebrew Mamita). Shortly after the tour and the resulting industry buzz and local critical acclaim, the duo disbanded.

Seizing his emerging buzz, Sneakas began work on a mixtape/street album under the tutelage and guidance of M.C. Serch, and world famous Jive Records executive Anthony "Ant" Rich "A&R-ing" the project. Sneakas is quickly establishing himself as a powerhouse in both the Jewish music scene and global hip hop community. True hip hop fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of an artist with the skills and bravado necessary to make a real difference, and with his witty punchlines and his devastating flow
