This Springfield IL based band was formed in 2013 by members of other local bands who shared a common vision and passion for songwriting. Known for their unique emo-pop sound, Looming quickly became a fan favorite in Springfields music-culture hotbed known as Southtown, home of The Black Sheep. The band's influence range from the pop sensibilities of Laura Stevenson and Tubelord to the moving, interweaving guitar work of Park, TTNG, and Good Luck. Looming breaks down age and genre stereotypes, appealing to a wide variety of fans. They released their self-titled EP in September of 2013 and have since shared the stage with such artists as Screaming Females, and also appeared at PLAN-IT-X FEST. Looming offers a unique midwestern feel that is often described as bittersweet, as it is can be heavier in theme than in sound. Looming are looking forward to bringing new material to the table and taking to the road in the near future.
