The Kingdom's first EP, Unitas, is a concept album honoring the legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback. Frontman Charles Westmoreland re-imagines the footballer as a mythical deity, with lyrics resembling The Odyssey more than any typical indie-rock fare. It's this sort of eccentricity that separates Portland rockers The Kingdom from their indie contemporaries.

The quintet's full-length debut, K1, was released in Fall 2006 to positive reviews from SPIN and other media outlets.
